Voting in NYC

We got up early today to vote, evidently so did much of our ‘hood.

It’s taken nearly 45mins to walk the sidewalk along Hayden Hall, and we’ve yet to turn the corner. Maybe a machine is broken… we always have the pull-lever kind, tho much of NYC is supposed to be on electronic machines by now. Not sure which kind I trust more anyway.

There is a district with hardly any residents in line, and they all get to go immediately to the front. There is talk of our building seceeding to that district. Watchout 80th, revolution is afoot!!

  • Wow! You are a good citizen for waiting in line. Maybe people can listen to patriotic podcasts on their iPods while they wait. I have been voting absentee since my Cobber days and have stuck with it because my night shift schedule sometimes has me sleeping during election days. Only two counties in WA still don’t require mail-in ballots but they say it will switch over next year so we will be an all absentee state. Oregon has been absentee only for a while and they get good turnout.
I will be at my cousin’s place for a election night party. Obama better win or it will be a very sour crowd.
    Yes We Can!
